Senior Centers provide recreational, leisure and cultural activities for members of the community age of 60+. Activities may include planned arts and crafts, sports, physical fitness, and cultural enrichment to aid in the development of social skills for individuals and those with disabilities. Additional services offered at the centers are designed to overcome isolation and encourage functioning in community life. Other activities include: organizing volunteer community service projects, personal safety, health programs, and other programs of interest to participants.
The goal is to provide a safe and friendly place for those 60 years of age and older to socialize, learn, and remain active. The vision is to provide high-quality services to promote healthy older adults throughout our community.
Venango County has two active centers located at the Cranberry Mall and Scrubgrass Grange. There is also a satellite center at Franklin Towers.
