Lake Justus

As we enter the new year, it looks like winter has finally arrived at the Park. The trout fishing has been excellent in the open waters of Justus Lake and there are signs of ice now forming on the lake. Rifle season for deer was once again a safe one with no incidents reported in the Park.

The Annual Winterfest with the Venango Fatherhood Initiative has been scheduled for Saturday, January 24th with an alternate date of Saturday, February 7th. How much snow we get & the weather conditions will determine the date. The Fatherhood Initiative will take place from 10 am - 3 PM at Pioneer Flats and feature tubing, sled riding, a cardboard box derby race & snowman building contest. Hot dogs, hot chocolate & snacks will be provided.
